67.
A semicolon (‘<samp>;</samp>’) can be used anywhere on a line to start a
 68. comment that extends to the end of the line.
 69.

 70.
If a ‘<samp>#</samp>’ appears as the first character of a line, the whole line
 71. is treated as a comment, but in this case the line could also be a
 72. logical line number directive (see Comments) or a preprocessor
 73. control command (see Preprocessing).

 77.
Sub-instructions may be executed in order, in reverse-order, or in parallel.
 78. Instructions listed in the standard one-per-line format will be executed sequentially.
 79. To specify the executing order, use the following symbols:
 80.

 81.
‘<samp>-></samp>’

 82.

Sequential with instruction on the left first.
 83.

 84.
‘<samp><-</samp>’

 85.

Sequential with instruction on the right first.
 86.

 87.
‘<samp>||</samp>’

 88.

Parallel
 89.

 90.

 91.
The D10V syntax allows either one instruction per line, one instruction per line with
 92. the execution symbol, or two instructions per line. For example
 93.

 94.

abs a1 -> abs r0

 95.

Execute these sequentially. The instruction on the right is in the right
 96. container and is executed second.
 97.

 98.

abs r0 <- abs a1

 99.

Execute these reverse-sequentially. The instruction on the right is in the right
 100. container, and is executed first.
 101.

 102.

ld2w r2,@r8+ || mac a0,r0,r7

 103.

Execute these in parallel.
 104.
